This is one of my vintage custom musical boxes.  The box is a completely restored vintage walnut box.  Several joints were reglued, the bottom piece of wood replaced with bass wood, he old finish was completely removed and 5 coats of hand rubbed tung oil were applied, and new oak legs installed. Then, I applied a vintage hand carved solid turquoise butterfly (fetish) to the lid. The brass hinges have been polished but the original front latch was missing and the holes were filled prior to finishing.  I  installed a new Reuge 36 note musical movement with walnut framed plexiglass cover, new oak feet and a blue velvet liner. When the box is opened the music plays, close the box and it stops.  If your speakers are on you should be able to hear it playing. Please be advised that the music will sound better on good quality desktop speakers - Laptop computer speakers are generally poor reproducers of the mp3 file.  Measurements in inches.
