This is one of my original hand crafted wooden musical boxes.  It is made from Red Oak with paduk and ebony inlay. The box has miter cut corners which are doweled for strength and my signature wooden hinges.  It has  semi matte finish from several coats of hand rubbed tung oil. This type of finish showcases the natural colors and grains of the woods.   The bottom piece made from basswood to enhance the volume and sound of the musical movement. There is a small burgundy velvet compartment for jewelry or trinkets The new Reuge 18 note musical movement was made in Switzerland. Open the box and the music plays, close the box and it stops.
